Endacopia Bosses & Combat Guide
Endacopia uses a first-person, mouse-driven brawler for every confrontation. Once you understand how to read an attack pattern, almost every fight becomes solvable without taking damage. This page covers the controls, the boss index, and the routes that unlock alternate outcomes — both the pacifist skips and the secret bosses.
Combat Controls and Encounter Flow
Mellow's fists follow the cursor. Left-click to punch, right-click to raise a guard. Each boss declares its attack direction in advance — many use body language, drumbeats, or color cues on the fists of the boss model. The stamina bar limits how long you can hold a combo; let it refill between successful punches.
Bosses telegraph direction. If you see an arm lean left, an attack is coming from the left and your block must be there. You can hold the punch button but rarely should — stamina will burn quickly and recovery is what wins the late phase of each fight.
Failure / Retry Behavior
Death is treated as a comic gag across the game. Most bosses respawn Mellow at the boss room's entrance with a one-liner about the previous cause of death. There is no save limit inside combat: you can keep retrying the same fight without losing the rest of your run.
Boss / Enemy Index
Enemies are split into required fights (necessary to clear a chapter route) and optional / secret fights (only available through specific triggers).
| Boss | Where it appears | Attack pattern | Required response | Alternate resolution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clockey | Mellow's bedroom in Henry's House, Chapter 1 | Side arms swing in alternating patterns; head leans forward as a vulnerable spot | Block both swings in sequence and punch the center head when it leans forward. Patterns accelerate after the first life bar. | Can be skipped by reading the password from Wall Bank, bypassing the entire fight. |
| The Chameleon / Ozzie (or Ollie) | Hidden chamber behind the waterfall in Timesville | Three puppets operate independently; each loses HP when struck on its exposed side | Punch each puppet in turn to break the Chameleon's grip, or answer the dialog correctly to walk away. | Answer 'Ask who he is → type Ozzie/Ollie → say impactful → his story → irony' to skip combat entirely. Use 'Ask what he's doing' to initiate combat. |
| The Trapezist | Main circus tent in Misery Town, Chapter 2 | Kicks balls in three lanes, alternating tempo and an occasional escalating burst | Punch the ball back at her when it is directly in front of you. Three successful returns will knock her down. | Skip by cutting the left rope with the Scalpel before climbing up. |
| The AI | Office back room after the productivity check, Chapter 3 | Cysts spawn heads in waves; ribcage and heart expose on a rhythm | Destroy cysts quickly and strike the heart only after the ribcage opens. Stamina drains fast, so use the adrenaline boost at the start of the fight. | Pour water on the small outlet to short-circuit it; no combat needed. |
| Henry | Final boss fight on Ending A only | Bonks Mellow directly; cannot be attacked, only baited | Wait under the ceiling uvula so Henry hits it instead. After enough hits, the fight ends and the God vomits the cast out. | Specific to Ending A. Routes to Ending B and C do not reach this confrontation. |
| Benjamin (Wizard Cat) | Optional encounter on the circus poster wall | Single fireball after a slow pull-back | Block the fireball and counterpunch three times; the third hit ends him. | Optional. Does not gate progression. |
| The Cowboy (Quick Draw) | Gunslinger cabin in Misery Town | Draws and fires in a fixed rhythm; rubbery skin keeps him alive through two hits | Click on the cursor faster than his draw completes. Three consecutive loses mean a game over. | Optional. The prize is the skateboard, which only adds a movement speed buff. |
| Chimera Manticore | Spawned when Mellow interacts with the broken phone floating in the Misery Town pond | Flying body with lunging and tail sweeps | Block the swoops and punch on the recovery frame; positioning matters more than combos. | Secret fight, gated by the Timesville beach telescope + metal detector chain. |
Secret / Optional Bosses
Fights like the Mug (Timesville), the chimera manticore (Misery Town), and the four Fight Club opponents (Office) sit outside the required path. They reward achievements, alternate costumes, or are referenced inside Ending C. If you only want to clear one route, the optional bosses are not required; if you want the achievements tied to defeating or avoiding each one, see the linked Achievements guide.
Achievement Cross-Reference
Defeating or skipping specific bosses unlocks Steam achievements (one per major boss, plus several secret-fight achievements). For the complete list with hidden flag indicators, see the Achievements guide.
